Blessing Message

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14)
My precious friend, today is a glorious day in Jesus Calls.  This is the day my father, Bro. D. G. S. Dhinakaran, had a vision of Jesus face to face for 3 hrs 58 years before. It was at this time the mission of Jesus Calls began to wipe away the tears of millions of people through the love of Jesus Christ. We remember this day with love and gratitude and thank God for His mercies that He has showered all these 58 years. This is also the day that Bethesda Prayer Centre in Karunya Nagar, Coimbatore was established nearly 28 years ago. We thank God for the mighty miracles God has been doing for everyone who came to this Bethesda Prayer Centre, meditated, and prayed. I thank you for being a partner with this ministry, praying for this ministry, and giving your offerings to Bethesda and Jesus Calls every month. As we celebrate these anniversaries today, may God bless you.

Today’s promise is taken from Mathew chapter 5 verse 14. Jesus says, my child, “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.” You are the light of the world my child. God is dependent on you for His light to come upon this dark world. The Lord says, “A city on a hill cannot be hidden.” God will make you shine and raise you to great heights for the light that is in you to shine on everyone.

In John 8:12 Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” You have given your heart to Jesus. He is in you shining as the light of the world. Any darkness in life will never overcome you because Jesus the light of the world is in you. The Bible says in Ephesians 5:8, “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.” My friend, you were darkness embodied when you were in the world, when you were in sin; but now as you are the child of Jesus, you are life itself. So the scripture says live as children of light. Only when you have the light – Jesus Christ in you, the world can receive that light. What a great responsibility you have in this world. Let us pray for this grace.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus,

Give me grace to have you, the light of the world, and do your works to bring forth light into the world and bring forth the light, Jesus Christ, into my family. Let your light shine in me Lord.

I pray this prayer in Jesus name. Amen.

“As for God, his way is perfect: The LORD’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. “ (2 Samuel 22:31) 
Dear friends, I greet you in the name of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Today’s promise is that the Lord will be a shield to all those who trust in Him (2 Samuel 22:31). Is that true in your life? Are you trusting in the Lord for everything? The psalmist says, “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1). Do you have such a hope? Is the Lord your shield who protects you from all danger? David had that experience and he says in Psalm 18:2, “The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” He had hope in the Lord.
 
Abraham also had the same hope in the Lord. We read in Genesis 15:1, “After this, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.”” God calls him by his name and says Abraham, “I will be your shield. I will be with you all the time and I will protect you.” What a great blessing it is to have a God watching at us all the time. He says that He is our shield and so we don’t have to be afraid. You might have so many fears, so many problems and you might be crying all alone not knowing what to do but the Lord says that you have to do just one thing which is in Ephesians 6:16, “In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.”

Whatever problem it is face it with faith. Just like Abraham and David you can say that the Lord is your shield. You must put your trust on Him and fight against your fears and problems boldly. Believe that God will protect you all the time. So you need not be afraid of the problems of the world. Put your hope on the Lord and cling on to Him tightly each moment of everyday. You will be a blessing to everyone and you will experience blessings in your own life. As you take up the shield of faith God will shield you with His presence and no harm will be able to touch you. Everything that troubles you will become miracles where God’s power is manifested. So make the Lord your shield and He will shield you from every danger.

Prayer:
Loving Father,
 
I commit myself into Your hands. Remove all my trials and tribulations. Be my shield. Cover me all the time by Your presence. Let not the evil one touch me. Shield me just like Abraham and David and protect me on all sides. Give me peace and joy.

“May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope, LORD, is in you“  (Psalm 25:21) 
Dear friend, be joyful today because God has a great promise for you. The promise is found in Psalm 25:21, “May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope, LORD, is in you”. The key thing God wants you to focus on is integrity and uprightness. Look forward to having integrity in your actions from now on. God values integrity and uprightness. God will help you to be truthful in all that you do. May be you are struggling to walk uprightly in your official work or in your relationships, don’t worry because God Himself will help you to be righteous in all that you do.
 
God is going to give you the strength to uphold your integrity. Before your parents or teachers or your boss in your company or whoever it may be, God will help you to be truthful in all your endeavours. Yes, God will give you the power to do it. Even as heads of the family, our actions reflect in the entire family. Our actions might bring blessings or may not bring the blessings of God. So we have to be very careful in our actions. We have to take right decisions for the entire family. God will help you to do it with integrity my friend.

You might wonder why you should be right when people treat you wrongly. You might want to treat them badly or reciprocate wrong for wrong but if you do that you might lose God’s blessings my friend. You might find many people cheating their way and getting ahead in life, getting promoted and you might think whether you should follow their ways but remember those are the ways of the devil. He only lies and cheats and does wrong things to people. Do not take his ways. Our way should be toward God. We should say like the psalmist, “My hope in You Lord,” (Psalm 25:21). Always remember that your blessings come from above and not from people above you. So always please God by being upright.

Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,
 
Give me grace to be truthful amidst the pressures of this world. Let the problems that I face not pressurize me to do anything that is wrong. Help me honour You in all that I do. Help me to be truthful before men whom you have placed above my life. Father, help me to serve You with integrity. Give me strength to be upright and righteous before You.

“Do not say, “I will repay evil”; wait for the LORD, and he will deliver you.” (Proverbs 20:22)
My dear friend, God has a command and a promise in store for you today. He says that if you will be patient with people, He Himself will deliver you. God cannot work when we take things in our own hands. Only when we let go, God can work on behalf of us. God expects us to forgive the people who wrong us. God says, “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you” (Matthew 6:14). We will receive God’s forgiveness only if we forgive others. God is so patient with us. So He wants us to be patient with others. He wants us to treat others the way we would like to be treated. He says, “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets” (Matthew 7:12). If we remember how gracious God has been to us we would automatically be good to others.

Sometimes what others do to us might harm us or hurt us. It might be something that needs to be judged. Even in such cases God says that we have to wait for God’s judgement and not take the matter into our own hands. The Bible teaches us that, “Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing” (1 Peter 3:9). Paul says, “Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse” (Romans 12:14). God places a high standard for us to follow. He wants us to bless those who wrong us unlike the worldly people.

Yet we can always find comfort in God for He is a just God. He is a Judge. He will repay each man according to what He does. He says, “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:10). God will reward us for our patience and repay those who wrong us. For He says that, “Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord” (Romans 12:19). Yes, God will surely take a revenge on people who are continuing in their unjust ways. When we keep quiet God will take action on them. He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun (Psalm 37:6). All we need to do is to bear patiently with one another and show love to the hurting. God will surely touch them through our love and deliver us from the harm they cause us. He knows whether to repay or to forgive them so that they change. So let us leave everything in His hands, be patient and forgive everyone.

Prayer:
Loving Father,

Thank You for this promise to take care of the people who wrong me. Help me to be patient like You and forgiving like You. Let people see Your love through me and transform them through me. I forgive everyone who has hurt me and I give them into Your hands. Lead me into Your peace.

“The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” (Psalm 126:3) 
The promise for today is from Psalm 126:3 were we read, “The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” As soon as I read this verse the first thing that came to my mind was the birth of my dear daughter Katie. It was such a joy when she was born into our lives. Actually the due date was further away but the Lord surprised us by bringing her into our lives sooner than expected. We were filled with so much joy because of this great thing the Lord had done in our life.

Though there were injections going on in each of my hand I couldn’t feel any pain as the Lord filled me with His joy. Yes in the same way the Lord is going to do wonderful and marvellous things in your life today and you are going to experience the joy of the Lord. The Bible says in Psalm 45:7, “You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.” The Lord is going to anoint you with the oil of joy. When you are anointed with joy it will overflow and people around you will experience the joy of the Lord through you. You will be set apart from your companions.

Believe in this promise and thank the Lord in advance because the Lord is going to do wonderful things in your life from now. The Bible is filled with stories that display the wonders of God. One such story is that of Esther’s. She was just a simple girl but the Lord caused everything to fall in place for her to rise up as queen. God is going to do such great things in your life today. Are you going through shame? Be patient. God is going to bring you honour you have never imagined. Just as God lifted Mordecai’s head and Esther’s head He will lift your head too. The circumstances that threatened their life were turned into their benefit and God caused all things to end well. God will do the same for you. Expect great things from God and attempt great thing for God in the words of William Carey. You will receive joy in abundant measure.

Loving Jesus,

Thank You for this wonderful promise verse You have given this day. Thank You for the great things You have done so far and thank You for You are going to do great things in the future. Fill me with Your joy. Lift my head and honour me. Let Your name be glorified through the great things You do for me.

“He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.” (Psalm 25:9) 
Dear friends, the Lord has a beautiful promise verse for you today. It is taken from Psalm 25:9, “He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.” First the Lord will guide the humble to justice and then teach them His way. How does He guide us and what is the path of justice? It is the path of the cross. We read in Acts 14:22, Paul and Barnabas went around “strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said”. According to God, we have to go through so many tribulations in order to enter the kingdom of God. This is how the Lord leads us. This is the way of God.
 
In Hebrews 12:5,6 we read, “My son, do not take lightly the discipline of the Lord, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you. For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises every son He receives.” When we go through the path of affliction it is very hard for us. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it (Hebrews 12:11). When we go through trouble it will be painful but this is the way God teaches us His way. He also teaches us through the Word of God. We see in Psalm 94:12, “Blessed is the one you discipline, LORD, the one you teach from your law;” Yes, everyday the Lord teaches us through the Word of God. Not only that He sends His Holy Spirit to live among us and teaches us all things.

What a wonderful God we have! He teaches even the small things to us through the Holy Spirit. He will beautifully lead us and guide us even today. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it” (Isaiah 30:21). You don’t have to turn to the right or to the left. God’s voice will lead along the straight path to Heaven. The Lord will catch hold of your hand and lead you beautifully. He says, “Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you” (Isaiah 46:4). Do not be discouraged. The Lord who teaches you is always living in you.

What a wonderful God I have in You Lord. You are my Teacher and my Guide. You are my only hope Master. Even now as I am going through much tribulation, guide me and teach me Your way. Free me from my troubles Lord. Let me have joy instead of sorrow. Let me see a change in my life from today. Lead me have a straight path. Guide me beautifully. Hold on to my hand and lead me.

“Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.“ (Luke 2 :10) 
 
The Lord reminds us of a special promise today. It is in Luke 2:10 “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.”  God has good news for you today. Even now, you might be full of fear. Fear about the future, about what might happen next might torment you. Fears like “Will I get a life partner? Will I get a family life? Will I get a child? Will I get a job? Will I pass this exam? Will I be prosperous?”  might be causing stress in your life. You might be full of fear because of your insufficiencies and be afraid of living your life but remember God’s Word when fears assail you. God says to you, “Do not be afraid”. You will always have hope in Jesus. That is the good news about Jesus.
 
Knowing Jesus you cannot be hopeless or fearful.  Jesus is a living God. So we can always trust Him. Once there was a king who was very worried about many things and lying down depressed. The queen came in to see him and told him, “Do you know king? Jesus is dead.” The king got up with a jolt and said, “What is wrong with you? Jesus rose up from the dead. Jesus is living.” Then the queen said, “But if you knew that He is living you would certainly not be lying down worrying about your needs.” The king’s face brightened. He knew Jesus was living but he did not let the truth sink into his heart. He realised his mistake and became cheerful remembering that if Jesus is living He can surely take care of all his needs. Yes, my dear friend, Jesus is reigning and He is in control of everything. You don’t have to be bothered about anything.
God has a beautiful plan for you to have a beautiful future even before you were born. Isn’t that good news? We read in 1 Peter 1:8, “Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,” As you love Jesus without seeing Him and because you believe in Him, God will fill you with inexpressible joy and remove all your fears. Believe that God will give whatever you need and you will find hope in Jesus. Trust in Jesus and He will fill you joy that you cannot contain. Every fear and worry will flee from you. There is good news for you today. God will do everything for you. You have hope in this world. Cheer up!

Loving Jesus,

Thank You for assuring me that You will bring me only good news. Lord, remove all the fears from my heart. Fill me with Your hope. Thank You for You have a bright future for me. Teach me what to do and how to be successful in life. Heal me and build my life. Prosper all that I do. You are my good news. Fill me with inexpressible joy of having You in my life. Thank You for You are living and You will control my circumstances.

“He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless” (Proverbs 2:7) 
 
My dear friend, today’s promise is from Proverbs 2:7, “He (God) holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless.” Today we remember the father of our nation, Mahatma Gandhi. We remember his sacrifice for the nation. It was the sacrifice of Jesus through His love that was close to his heart. The victory that Jesus won on the cross through His love inspired Him to follow a sacrificial life. That’s why he introduced and established the satyagraha for victory through love, patience and humility. He believed in prayer. May God give us grace to continue to care for our nation and may God give us an upright heart. The Bible says God gives us victory when we are upright. May God give you victory as you have an upright heart before God.
 
We also read, “For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless” (Psalm 84:11). Yes every good thing will come to those who walk uprightly. The Bible also says, God helps those who are upright. For we read, “But the men said to Saul, “Should Jonathan die-he who has brought about this great deliverance in Israel? Never! As surely as the LORD lives, not a hair of his head will fall to the ground, for he did this today with God’s help.” So the men rescued Jonathan, and he was not put to death.” The passage talks about Jonathan. He risked his life for the people so God stood with him and saved him. It was because of God’s help that he was victorious. God helped him because of his upright heart.

Even in your work as you are upright, God will help you and fight your battles. As you are upright God will give you victory. God will give all the provisions for your life because you are upright. For this He gives you wisdom according to Proverbs 2:7. He will teach you to succeed for in Him are the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. For Bible says, “in whom (Jesus) are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:3).Yes, wisdom is no one else than Jesus Christ. He is the treasure of wisdom and knowledge. May God give you the wisdom to walk uprightly and to have victory, provisions and God’s presence in everything you do.

Prayer:
Father,

Bless me with the grace to walk uprightly before You. Let all the blessings of uprightness come upon me. Lead me to see success in all my endeavours. Provide everything for me. Help me and teach me Your wisdom so that I will be victorious.

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work withinus, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.“ (Ephesians 3:20) 
My precious friend, may God bless you in abundance this month. As we are moving towards the end of the year, I pray that God will make everything prosperous for you who love God. This month’s promise is found in Ephesians 3:20. The scripture says, “Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” In the promise given to Abraham by God in Genesis 17:20, we read that He is a God who blesses us in an exceedingly great measure. So, God has the heart to pour blessing, which we cannot hold. I pray this blessing upon you this month in the name of Jesus. Let us see three people, who were blessed exceedingly and the reason why they were blessed exceedingly.

An angel appears to Mary, the mother of Jesus and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favoured! You are blessed.” (Luke 1:28) Yes! It was a superlative blessing saying “You are greatly and highly favoured by God” because she had a heart to submit to God’s plans. Look at the life of Jesus. When He was twelve years old, in Luke 2:52 the scripture says, “Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man” because He was obedient to His parents. Obedience is the key for receiving favour. As Jesus came and did a miracle by turning the water into wine when His mother who was highly favoured asked Him to do so; He will come and do miracles for you providing sweet wine, sweet blessings, and His sweet presence to you who are highly favoured by Him. You are highly favoured. Do not be afraid.

Secondly, Daniel was also greatly favoured by the Lord. An angel appeared to him and said, “You are greatly beloved of the Lord.” (Daniel 9:23) Do you know why? It was because Daniel claimed the prophecy of Jeremiah for Israel. When we humble ourselves claiming the prophecies, claiming the will of God and pray with fasting, God sends angels to say ‘you are My beloved, greatly beloved.’ Finally, “Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the LORD blessed him. The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy.” (Genesis 26:12 & 13) In this moment of drought, famine, and joblessness, as you give your offering to God’s ministry, God will give you hundred times and increase you with His riches. As you build God’s Kingdom in the lives of people, God will build your life. Great riches came to Isaac as he sowed during the famine. God will bless you as you believe Him and sow in His ministry. You are greatly favoured and are greatly beloved so you will be greatly prosperous. God bless you my precious friend and fulfil His promise to you.

Loving Jesus,

Thank You for this great promise for this month. Lord, let me experience Your great favour and great love so that I become greatly prosperous. Fulfil Your Word that the end will surely be prosperous. Help me to uphold the ministry, do Your will and pray claiming the prophecies so that Your will will be done on earth just as it is in heaven.
