Inexpressible Joy in His Presence – Sis. Stella Dhinakaran
Dear child of God, I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Today, we will meditate on Proverbs 8:30, which says, “I was filled with delight day after day, rejoicing always in His presence.” It is a glorious life to be constantly filled with God’s presence and to rejoice in His presence.
In John 10:30, Jesus declares that He and His Father are one, and in John 14:9, He tells us that whoever has seen Him has seen the Father. Moreover, in John 16:15, the Lord states that all that the Father has is His. Thus, as a child of God, you are called to have the same kind of fellowship with the Lord that He had with His Father. You need to cultivate a close walk with God and strive to do everything right before Him, leading a righteous life. In doing so, you will certainly be filled with His glorious presence all the time and experience the inexpressible joy that the Lord promises in I Peter 1:8.
According to II Corinthians 3:17, when the Holy Spirit fills you with this kind of joy, you will be able to rejoice in the Lord all the time, even when you are going through difficult times. Jesus Himself experienced this kind of joy in Acts 10:38, and you, too, can receive it in your own life. When we lost our 17-year-old daughter, the Lord gave us this experience, which enabled us to come out of our agony and continue with our Ministry. If you, too, want to experience this kind of joy, all you need to do is enter into the presence of God through prayer and ask Him to fill you with His joy. This will enable you to rejoice in Him always.
PRAYER:
Precious Heavenly Father, I surrender my life to You. Lord, cleanse me from all unrighteousness and make me whole. Strengthen me spiritually and help me to have a close walk with You. Fill me with Your inexpressible joy that comes through the Holy Spirit. Help me to spend quality time with You in prayer and involve You in all aspects of my daily life. Lord, lift every problem that is weighing me down and help me to rejoice in You always. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
