God Will Make Your Path Straight – Dr. Paul Dhinakaran

My dear friend, today’s promise is taken from Proverbs 3:6 which says, “In all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” What a wonderful promise of God!

Here are two keywords in this verse: ‘Submit’ and ‘Straight’, just like there are always two paths in front of us as believers. The Lord Jesus says there are only two ways to live – either walk the godly and the righteous path or the path that leads to disappointment and destruction. The path of the Lord or the godly path is always a straight path. But the path of the wicked and the sinners is a crooked path. Many years ago, when I started my life, the Lord showed me two paths before me. One was the path of a crab which is a crooked path and the other one was the path of a fish which was straight because the fish always swims straight in the water. The Lord asked me which path am I going to take. Of course, I chose the fish path which is the ‘straight and godly path’. To walk on this straight path, you must first SUBMIT your life and your ways to the Lord. 

My friend, are you saying that you have lost direction in life? Do not be troubled! Today, submit all your ways to the Lord and He will direct your paths from now on. He will guide you and instruct you the way you should go. Thus, the Lord Himself will be your sovereign guide and make your path straight through His counsel. He will lift you up to great heights as a reward for your submissive life towards Him. 

PRAYER: 

Loving Lord, thank You for Your wonderful promise. Lord, You are the way and You have provided us with the path of life. Even now, I pray that You will grant me discernment to choose wisely the straight path and walk according to Your rich counsel. Lord, please go before me and make every crooked path straight. I completely submit all my ways to Your loving care. Instruct me and guide me into Your higher plans and purposes. Take me to great heights for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
