Bountiful Blessings – Dr. Paul Dhinakaran
“I will satisfy the priests with abundance, and My people will be filled with My bounty,” declares the Lord. Jeremiah 31:14
My friend, God wants to fill you with His bountiful blessings. Today’s promise is from Jeremiah 31:14. It says ‘I will satisfy the priests with abundance. My people will be filled with my bounty.’ Yes, God wants you to have bountiful blessings and He wants you to be satisfied.
Perhaps, you are labouring hard or studying hard. Maybe you are loving people unconditionally with all your heart. Or you may sacrificially give to the poor and support the Lord’s work. But in your life, you feel a void because you are not satisfied with the blessings. Today, the Lord says to you, “My people, My priests will be satisfied with the abundance I will give them”. So let not your heart be troubled.
To fill us with this abundance, according to John 1:16, Lord Jesus became perfect. He was full of God and He fulfilled God’s will absolutely in His life. He even sacrificed Himself on the cross for the salvation of humanity. Because of His fullness as the Almighty God, we receive grace upon grace. And in one translation, it says we receive blessing after blessing. In Jeremiah 32:40, we read that God has made a covenant with you, His people, His priests, and He says, “I will never stop doing good”. Yes, my friend! One blessing after another will keep coming into your life from the fullness of the Lord’s heart. Keep looking onto Jesus.
Jesus had only five loaves and 2 fish but He had to feed five thousand men, apart from the women and children who were also there. He had great compassion for the people because they were hungry. So, he took the bread, gave thanks, and blessed it. He broke the bread and gave it to the people. Again, new bread was miraculously formed and again he broke it and gave it to the people. His love made one blessing after another come and everyone gathered there went satisfied. Today, the Lord says, “I will do it for you”. In Malachi 3:10, He says I will open the windows of heaven, the storehouse of heaven and pour the blessings upon you which you cannot hold. And Psalm 81:10 says open your mouth wide, call on the Lord Jesus and He will fill your mouth with all the blessings.
Prayer:
Thank You Lord for Your unfailing love. I thank You because of Your sacrifice on the cross, I have received grace upon grace and blessing upon blessing in my life. Thank You, Lord, for calling me your people, Your priest. I pray that my life will be satisfied with Your bountiful blessings for You are the Lord of increase.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
