Your King Lives Forever – Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran
Dear friend, may the Lord bless you according to Psalm 145:13. Here, the Word says, “Your Kingdom is a Kingdom of all the ages and Your authority is unto all generations of generations. LORD JEHOVAH is faithful in His words and righteous in all His works.”
You might have heard about King Nebuchadnezzar in the Bible. In Daniel 4:30, this king in all his pride said, “Is not this great Babylon which I have built by my power as a royal residence and for the glory of my majesty.” He thus lifted himself above the powers of the Almighty God. But then we see that when the word was still in his mouth, a voice came from heaven and the Lord said to him, “Oh King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken: the Kingdom is departed from you” and in verse 32, the Lord again said, “you shall be driven from among men and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field and you shall be made to eat grass like an ox. Seven periods of time shall pass over you.” But then the Lord also said, “Until you know that the Most High rules the Kingdom of men and gives it to whom He will.” The Lord thus cursed king Nebuchadnezzar for his pride and made him realize who He really is. Exactly as the Lord said when the seven periods of time passed, Nebuchadnezzar came to an understanding about God and as mentioned in Daniel 4:34, he says, “I raised my eyes toward heaven and my understanding and reason returned to me. And I blessed the Most High God and I praised and honoured and glorified Him who lives forever. His dominion is an everlasting dominion. His kingdom endures from generation to generation.”
My friend, accordingly, we are serving a great and mighty God. He is the King of kings and His kingdom is forever and ever. When you love Him, His covenant of peace will remain with you and with your children and with your children’s children. When Nebuchadnezzar realised who God was, the Lord returned his kingdom back to him. So, it is God who makes people rule this country and the world, in general. Hence it is very important to understand who God is. King David knew who God was, so the Lord blessed not only him but also his descendants. May the Lord bless your family also like that and reign supreme over your family.
Prayer:
Loving Lord, I thank You for Your blessed promise. You are the King of kings and the Lord of lords. There is no end to Your Kingdom. Your dominion endures through all generations. Thank You, Lord, for You are the God of my generation. You are the King of my life. Lord, please rule over my home and remove every problematic situation and sickness by Your authority that endures forever. Let Your glory fill my life and my home. In Jesus’ name, I pray Amen.
